Presentations

WeldWAITS staff provides an average of 150 presentations yearly, reaching over 1000 individuals in middle and high schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, programs for at risk youth, faith based organizations, and parenting or grand parenting groups. Presentations are medically accurate, culturally and developmentally relevant, based on best practice models, and tailored to meet the needs of each audience.  While sexual risk avoidance is the underlying theme of all presentations, topics may include:

Community Organizations

WeldWAITS staff provides presentations AT NO COST to a variety of community organizations and audiences throughout Weld County.

Platicas

Platicas or “little chats” are classes taught by a bilingual educator for Latino families in their home or a familiar setting.

Individualized Education

Confidential individualized sexual risk avoidance (SRA) education is available free of charge to teens ages 12-18 through the WeldWAITS program at the Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment.
